Diagnostic computer reads no start command

(2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500)

truck just stopped running,lights on ,battery charged can get starter to engage and will crank engine but not start by jumping starter relay or starter took dash apart checked all wires,installed new starter and fuse box ,still no start

There are multiple FUSES that are incorporated within the crank / start circuit .. These will be located in the under hood fuse relay box .. IF fuse is blown - you’ll get the same symptoms .. Due to misleading fuse usage listing - I ‘strongly’ recommend TESTING each and every fuse you can find using a 12 volt test light.!

Also the park neutral switches are problematic on these vehicles - you should have a wiring schematic for the related circuits - which can be easily obtained from AutoZone’s web site..

The park neutral switch also closes the starter relay ..

Additionally - IF you jumper the relay or starter solenoid the engine will crank - however the security system will not allow the engine to start..
