Defrost works poorly vents mist into cab

(1999 Ford F-150)
in Carver, MA on January 28, 2010
My defrost works poorly, the blower seems ok and the heat gets warm, I changed the thermostat. However, I get a mist blowing into the cab of the truck with a sicky sweet smell and antifreeze leaks from under the dashboard on the passenger side. Unsure what is the problem?

It sounds very much like the heater core has sprung a leak. You need to get this checked out as soon as possible as the heater radiator will burst and flood the inside of your car with hot sticky coolant.

Try reversing the hoses that run to your heater core. Reversing the flow back washes the heater core and improves the flow.
