Dealership service center told me my top engine mount needs to be replaced

(2005 Ford Five Hundred)
in Springfield, MO on May 29, 2012
This was at my 100,000 mile service. Mechanic said that it would cost about $700. Have not had any symptoms except occasional hesitation when accelerating. Should I get a second opinion/use a different mechanic? This seems really high

Depending on which mount your car needs it may be the correct price and likely it does need it if you feel what you discribe as a hesitation. The right side HYDRAULIC MOUNT calls for 3.2 Hr. labor time and the mount if you get from dealer is about $200. Nothing wrong with getting a second opinion and another price.
