Cv boots on rear axle

My CV boots are trn and is this something that needs to be addressed?

Yes. If the boots are torn, that means the lubricating grease is coming out, and dirt/debris are getting in. This situation will rapidly degrade the moving parts in the CV shaft and cause it/them to fail.
