Cracked head problem?

(1999 Saturn SC1)
in LaMoure, ND on March 19, 2011
Does anyone know if the 1999 Sc-1's are susceptible to the cracked cylinder head problem that arose in previous years, and addressed in service bulletin TSB 96-t-65B? I know the bulletin says 1991-1997, but I occassionally read reviews with people complaining of the same problem in a 1999 model.

I did see online lots of complaints of cracked head that was very much like the 91-97 cracked heads probs. Whenever the customer complains about the same prob that used to be covered there are mixed results of some dealers saying there is absolutely no coverage and some giving in and helping with costs. The biggest thing that keeps occuring is that the dealer wants to see documented maintenance records if they are going to help with cost and is really better if all work was done at Saturn dealer. Lots of "sticking their head in the sand" on this one. Good luck with any where you go with this and have paperwork ready for maintenance.
