This should be about a 1 hour job plus good brake pads would put the price right around 200.00.

That would mean $150 for 1 hour labor since good pads cost around $50.
At brake repair places they will put in crappy $20 pads.
$150 is a lot of money for unskilled labor

I replaced rear pads and then lights came on after I started down road. Rechecked back pads and everything seems fine.
