Cooling fan stay on when when I start and won't cycle off

(1999 Lincoln Continental)
If i disconnect the positive battery post for a while and hook it back up it will act normal but as soon as I turn the ac on this high in fan will come on and stay even if I shut the ac off

Possibly a failed(sticking) relay , best to test and confirm. Fuse/relay box should maybe have a label indicating location. Common symbol may be a fan and snowflake together-- OR while the car is shut off , start removing relays.
