Coolant Leak

(1999 Ford Ranger)
I'm getting coolant flushing out of side reservoir from back pressure, accompanied by an unstable temperature gage (dial type). Sometimes its fine. It usually starts about 4 miles after starting.

low on fluid. probably got vapor lock. when you fill it next time, make sure the engine is cold, and fill the radiator while the engine is running. after the thermostat opens, the level will drop and you will need to top it off.

Thank you. I am going to flush it out and replace coolant and thermostat. I was afraid it was something more serious. It was unusual in that the resevoir level stayed normal while the radiator level lost fluid. We'll see, thanks again.
