Coolant

(1999 Chevrolet Venture)
in Louisville, KY on December 17, 2009
The dial for the coolant keeps going from left to right and as I make a left turn it goes to the middle and right turns it goes to the far right and reads hot it eventually gets too hot. What could be wrong? I jsut had my gaskets replaced and a new thermostat

Check the level of your coolant reserve bottle, it may have gone down, as the air bubbles work their way out. I would also go back to the shop and tell them, maybe there is a loose clamp or something.
