Control arm/swaybar link loose at strut bracket

(1992 Ford Taurus)
in Hebron, KY on April 23, 2009
Can a control arm link be replaced ? Nut apparently became loose and backed off of top link to strut/coil bracket . Still on, but threads are flattened and nut can't be tightened.

If you are talking about the sway bar end link, yes it can be replaced. The new unit should come with new nuts to secure it with. You will probably have to cut the old one off with a hacksaw or grinder. Be careful, you do not want to damage the strut where the link is attached.Oh, the part should not be that expensive and should be available at dealers or in the aftermarket. Good luck.
