Clarification o make and model. 1987 Ford F150 with a 5.0 engine.

This vehicle is actually a 1987 Ford F150. Sounds as though it was a gas problem when it stopped (gradually died down, I pumped the gas. Would not run or start). Replaced the fuel pump and filter. It still cranks and will not start. Checked for fire to plugs (ok), replaced rotor and cap (new), no back fire or kick back.

are you getting power to the fuel pump?how many fuel pumps on that truck,3?one on the rail, and one in each tank?
which one did you replace?

There are three as you described. I replaced the one in the tank. Checked the pump operation before installing it and it runs and the gauge works.
