On December 21, 2017, Chrysler recalled 62,042 Chrysler Town & Country. Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling various dodge, chrysler, and ram vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. a list of the affected trailer models is available at: these extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. for a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit:

The fire extinguisher manufactured by Kiddie that is equipped with certain vehicles may become clogged at the point of discharge, preventing proper extinguisher operation. This can increase risk of injury.

Recall repairs on your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram must be performed by a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealership, respectively. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

This recall is expected to begin October 23, 2014, designated repairs will be performed free of charge. If you notice a low tire pressure warning light or you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction.
