I gave them my car and my front A/C was working. They had said that the A/C wasn't working due to the wiring. They said it would take hours to get it back working again. It only took them 30 minutes to fix it. They said that they had fixed the problem, but it still turns off.

Either replace the motor, or sell the car ...
I would consider the value of the vehicle as is and compare it to the value of the vehicle if you replaced the engine. If the cost of the repair ($4,000) plus the value of the vehicle as it equals more than the value of the vehicle after it is repaired, then I would consider not replacing the engine. However considering that you have replaced the transmission and the other major components appear to be sound, then I would lean towards replacing the engine and drive it for another 100,000 miles. $4,000 is still better than buying a new car with payments, unless you plan to pay cash for your next vehicle. The only other factor that may sway it one way or another is whether you like the vehicle or not. If you like it, then all the more reason to replace the engine and run it for another 100,000 miles.
