The electric drive battery condition may deteriorate due to a software update to the vehicle interface control module (VICM) that may have disabled battery cell balancing functionality.  This would cause a low voltage condition, and a loss of vehicle propulsion that increases risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your Chevrolet must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 18125.

The passenger front seat has a sensing system that determines if there is a child or an adult present in the passenger seat, so that the air bag system deploys the passenger frontal air bag appropriately in an accident. In some vehicles, this sensing system is improperly calibrated to the vehicle's seat type, resulting in the system not properly identifying the occupant. If this occurs, the air bag may not deploy when it should, or may deploy when it shouldn't, increasing risk of occupant injury.
