When I'm going up hill it some times gets stuck in 2nd gear then I'll pull over turn it off for 30 sec to a minute and start it back up and the problem will go away till I go up hill again
Hello all, my Suburban lost its power steering and brakes at the same time last week i've notice that i have fluids all over the place on the drivers side of the engine brakes are kinda spongy then hard.. I've been told that it is the pump or the hydro booster my engine isn't listed here i have the 5.7 vortec could some one please point me in the right direction

Neutral Safety Switch was torn off, wires hanging. Need to connect a new on to start truck. It's a 454 engine /w fuel injection and Heavy Duty Trans. How do I reconnect a new neutral safety switch?
When turning left the rear wheel locks causing the tire to skid but after completing the turn the wheel frees up and rolls fine. The wheel will lock up if turning in reverse too. This does not happen when turning right. This does not happen all the time but frequently. The vehicle has a limited slip differential.
for about a week now my car has been idling really rough shaking really bad and then we go to press on the gas pedal to take off is Start like sputtering or puttering
It will run in 3 but it seems to stuggle. If you start out in overdrive it goes through the gears until it is ready to shift into Overdrive and then just doesn't!
Runs great for a week or more; then bouts of stalling less than a mile from house. Fuel pump is ok. What part of ECM system would be so temperamental and have enough power to blow fuses. If I let it sit; odds are I can drive it 100 miles or more before it starts blowing fuses again.
Dealer replaced leaking hydroboost. Immediately notice much more effort required to stop. Dealer replace H/B unit second time. No better. Dealer said it tested 3000psi so they are done with it. Since then ive done the brake material, master cylinder all to no avail. Dealer parts guys rechecked the part number on the H/B and are sure its correct. somebody else recommend eplace P/S pump and hoses another said check H/B rod throw. Another said there was a change to the priorty valve in later models to biased more hydraulic fuild to steering during braking. Which direction first?
TRUCK IDELS UP AND DOWN IN PARK OR DRIVE. ACCERLERATES UP ON ITS OWN EVEN WHEN WARM.MAKES A LOUD WINEING NOISE LIKE TWO MALE CATS FIGHTING.REMOVED BELTS FROM TRUCK STILL MAKES THE NOISE.IT SOUNDS LIKE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE UPPER MANIFOLD NEAR THE LOCATION OF DISTRIBUTER. COULD THIS NOISE BE PART OF THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM? OR IS THERE A VACUM PROBLEM UNDER THE UPPER MANIFOLD?
fuel pump is continuously running-battery dead by morning-pulled relay pump stills runs-check all fuses, check lines for leaks-only time it will go off is when I disconnect the battery, What is making it continuously run? what else should I check/do?
My 2500 Suburban 4x4/454 has started to shift hard, especially between 1st and 2nd, but it's in all gears. The problem comes and goes. Can't see a pattern. The fluid is clean and at the right level. Never know if it's going to be fine, moderate hard shifting, or even occasionally slamming form one gear to the next. Am reluctant to go to transmission shop without some knowledge about likely causes. Any help out there??? Thanks for ideas. Paul
i own a 1996 suburban 2500 6.5 turbo deisel the problem i have with it is i will go out and drive 2 to 3 mile stop for gas or something and it wont start i replace the fuel pump and relay and filter and it still does the same thing took it to a diesel mechanic and of coarse it didnt happend i like the truck and put alot into it lift kit and tires rimms and more dont want to get rid of it i need help finding the problem
The power door locks are not working, even though I can lock and unlock the doors using the key fab. The drivers seat power switches work just fine, so I don't think it's the fuse.

Any ideas for me?

When I am in park I can turn the steering wheel without a problem. While in park and I apply the brakes, they pulses. When I shift into reverse or drive my brakes engage and my steering wheel is hard to turn. When in reverse or drive and I turn my steering wheel, my brakes engage. Can this be failed hydro booster?
