Check gage light comes on when starting. Stays on few minutes then goes out

After it goes out temp and oil gages read normal

A few minutes is longer than expected. There may be a lose connector, a little corrosion, or resistance in the harness. I'd test the circuit for the fuel sending unit and engine coolant temperature sensor from the component to the gauge cluster to see if there is an issue in that circuit. If not, test the instrument cluster.
