Q: check charging system on 2006 Ford Taurus

We have a new battery and a new alternator and the check charging system still comes on periodically. Is this a problem with the cluster intermitant and if so is something happening that will cause the new battery and new alternator to go bad or is the warning just annoying.

this sounds like the charging system alert has a problem Make sure that your charging system is putting at at least 14.1 volts at idle, before you rule out a charging system problem. There is wiring etc involved in the charging system and the instrument panel is involved with the proper function of the charging system as well.
