I am having a false check engine light come on indicating a problem with the catalytic converter. Spent $1,500 replacing the exhaust heads and converter.

there is no false codes for cat converter. did you use oem parts from the dealer??
if you used aftermarket cats, that is the reson for the returned light. there is not enough precious metals in the aftermarkets to keep the light off.
thats why the factory are big bucks and the aftermarkets are cheap.
