Car wont start

(1999 Ford Taurus)

Makes the roaring sound just wont actually turnover. Has not been driven in a year

Try putting the battery on a battery charger but if the car has sat for a year the battery may have sulphated and never recover. The engine sounds like it may be turning over but not turning over fast enough to start.
