1998 Ford Contour Question: Car was overheating, replaced the thermostat and water pump.

, Mc Gaheysville, VA, May 10, 2011, 04:00

Still overheating. Took it to repair shop and they replaced the radiator because the petcock was broken and flushed the transmission. They said it was drivable. Now the transmission fluid is spouting out.

take it back to them. the cooler lines are leaking and they must fix this. if they replaced the radiator, they had to remove these lines and it is there responsibility to make sure they do not leak.

it is not ok to drive like this. you paid a lot of money for this repair and deserve to have it done correctly.
