Car stopped running while driving

(1990 Cadillac DeVille)
in New York, NY on April 07, 2011
I have a 1989 Cadillac deville, while driving the other day it just stopped. I left it for awhile and it started, but the lights inside are not showing up correctly and they are flashing. I was also able to get it going while spraying in quick start. Its a new battery and lots of gas is in the car. Tonight I'm checking the starter and alternator. Also when I shut the car off the blower fan started to go on, then shut off. Any ideas would be helpful, I'm thinking electrical but not sure where to start to look, or perhaps a computer module somewhere.
Thanks
Danny

If the blower fan is still working with your key off, that may be a defective ignition switch, which can/could cause a dying problem. Starter and Alternator are most likely not the cause. The ignition switch could also cause the dash malfunction, since it powers up pretty much everything.

thanks I'll check tonight, also do you think it could possibly be the computer module under the distributor?
