Q: Car stopped in middle of street, motor quit, doors locked, couldn't open doors. on 2003 Buick Century

Car stopped dead. Couldn't restart or open locked doors to get out of the car. Computer malfunctioned? But, why could I not open doors?

This happened to me on a dark road one night. The cause is a loose connection in your electrical system, in my case the wire that goes to the area above the battery where you boost the car. When it's disconnected your car has absolutely no power, just like removing the battery. For anyone reading this note there is a manual override for door locks on all cars. I and 911 people that came when I called didn't know this, what got me out was a boost that shook/moved the problem wire.
