Car shakes at high speeds, fan hits fan shroud when braking

(1990 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL)
in Watsonville, CA on November 17, 2010
One day my car suddenly started shaking on the freeway whenever I went over 55-60 mph. After finding out that broken motor mounts was the cause I replaced them immediately. However, the shaking persisted except now whenever I hit the breaks or go down hill the fan hits the fan shroud. I checked the motor mounts again and it did looked like the driver side mount had moved and moved the bolt at an angle. I tried to tighten it but it just stripped the bolt. Then I changed the shocks attached to the motor mounts and checked the transmission mount which was fine. Im at a loss at this point.

My best guess is that the damaged mount needs to be repaired properly..
