MY CAR SHAKES AND ACT LIKE IT WANTS TO CUT OFF AT STOP LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS THE IDLE GOES UP AND DOWN WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO GET FIXED

Wow is that the best answer we can come up with?, I have a 97 Kia sephia ls myself. I have the same problem except mine doesnt try to cut off most of the time. Mine however is being caused by the idle air control valve. It is a roughly 300 dollar part at autozone. for a part that is approx. 4 inches long.

You're looking at 1-2 hours of diagnosis to diagnose this problem, and then an estimate for the repairs can be given. Get this looked at soon, before any further damage is done.

There is a recall on the coils. The dealership will dignose and fix it at no cost to you. However, if you have an eight cylinder you will have to do this every time one goes bad again. But they will continue to fix it until they are all replaced for free.
