Car makes weird sound when turning

(1999 Cadillac DeVille)
Every so often when turning I hear a weird grinding noise. I think it may be the rack and pinion. Any suggestions?

It's ironic that you are from Saginaw, I think that's the name of a company that makes power steering parts! This can be from almost any part in the power steering or possibly even the suspension. The way to know for sure is to be able to inspect the vehicle when the noise is occurring. Make sure the power steering fluid level is OK, and the power steering belt tension is good.
