Car makes noises when I apply gas pedal

(1999 Pontiac Grand Am)
in Jessup, PA on June 02, 2011
Car used to shriek when I started engine, replaced the alternator, belt, the pulley, and now the shriek noise is gone from starting engine and applies only when I put my foot on the gas pedal. Any ideas?

I think you need to adjust the belt unless it has a spring tensioner, if so, you may need a new tensioner.
