Car is overheating on short drives

Make sure fans are working. Turn on the A/C and the fans should be on. They should come on when they get to 200+ degrees. Quad drivers fail in these older Saturns plus the thermostat may be stuck. Check coolant level. GL

You could have anything from a slow leak which has reduced your coolant level low enough to cause overheating to a bad thermostat all the way to a blown head gasket. Either more information is needed or an inspection. We have worked on Saturns since they came out...
