Car has power but will not start. what's the problem?

every now and then the car wont say nothing when i turn the switch. It doesnt loose any power it just wont say nothing when i turn the switch. It just happened again but usually it starts but this time it wont. please tell me whats the problem.

If the battery is strong (12 volts at rest) and the dash lights come on, try turning on the head lights see if they are bright. Before condemning or replacing .parts its best to charge and test the battery, check the connections are clean and tight, follow a wiring diagram and prove a part is bad.
