Car cuts off when I put gas in

(1999 Buick Century)
After I put gas in my 1999 Bucik century the engie shuts off when I attempt to start it. It usually take three or four ties to start and I have to press the accelator to give it gas to prevent it from shutting off. Any ideas what this could be.

it could be bad gasoline, possibly with some water in it. Not uncommon.

I used premuim gas. I always used premuim. Dont really think is the gas. I always burn all gae out by waiting til my low gas light comes on before I add gas.
