Q: can the damaged plug on my block be replaced with a ordinary plug on 2011 Chevrolet Impala

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
will a plug comparable to the old one but not one that starts only at a certain temp damage the car computer?
the electrical plug in on the block heater--the end that plugs into the electric outlet

Unless things are different in the north, usually the block heater is an add on feature, and not aware of any computer monitoring of the block heater. Should be a stand alone just to keep the block warm or is temperature controlled internal of the block heater itself.
