Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
i HAVE MY MOTOR HOME AT REPAIR FACILITY AND THEY STATE THAT i MUST CHANGE ALL OF MY STEERING COMPONENTS AND BRAKE HYDRAULICS DUE TO CONTAMINATION FROM BRAKE FLUID INTO THE POWER STEERING...THIS SEEMS ODD, BUT IF IT DOES THEN i MUST FIX ALL COMPONENETS?!

i work in a heavy duty brake distributor and this happens more than you realize. The main problem is that p/s fluid is petroleum based, and causes all the rubber parts in the brake system to swell.think about that for a moment, master cyl, hoses, calipers, abs components, wheel cylinders all HAVE TO BE REBUILT OR REPLACED!metal lines must also be flushed with clean brake fluid.if not comepletely removed, the p/s fluid WILL cause complete brake hydraulic failure, not a pleasent time in a motor home, whose brakes are usually marginal to begin with.
