Can i clean the intake and injector ports while it is still on the motor?

(1999 Chevrolet Tahoe)

i am replacing the spider injection system. and i want to clean the manifold and injector ports without removing it from the motor.

In theory, you could. But, whatever comes loose from that cleaning (including whatever solvent you use) will fall right into the cylinders. Once the engine is started, that 'stuff' will get blown right into the catalytic coverter and possibly cause expensive damage.
