Can a brakeline failure cause the brakes to rub the rotors

(1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas)
in Olathe, KS on November 17, 2009
to point that the wheel feels wobbly? I had the rotor with the wheel off, and it slips forward and backward as though the whole wheel wants to come off, but stops hard and sturdy... there is a lot of give back and forth when I checked this noise the other day. Today it sounds like the wheel is coming off with lots of sqealing and hydrolic air sounds and strong scraping and wobbling. I've never seen a vehicle degenerate this fast. I need to know which direction to look in before having it fixed.

I see a lot of wheel bearing wear to the point where the spindles also get worn on these cars.

Sounds like a wheel bearing failure. Needs to be checked by a certified tech. This is very dangerous
