CAN A BAD IGNITION COIL BURN OUT THE COMPUTER

#4 COIL WAS REPLACED TO ELIMINATE A MISFIRE, & LASTED 2 WEEKS, UNTIL THE MISFIRE RETURNED. REPLACING THE ECU FIXED IT PERMENANTLY.

This is conceivably possible. I haven't seen it myself, but electrical items can feedback into the module and destroy them, and coils produce very high voltage, so it's very possible in this case. Is it still operating OK?
