First, momentarily connect a wire direct from the battery positive to the compressor clutch feed, just to verify that the compressor will run. Next get some R134a with fluorescent dye. Connect the refrigerant feed to the low pressure port (the larger of the two ports), start the engine with the a/c on full blast, connect your temporary feed to run the compressor, and feed in the refrigerant. After a bit of refrigerant has been drawn into the system, the compressor should stay on without your temporary feed. Add additional R134a, until you feel the system cooling. Then check for leaks with an ultraviolet light. Wherever you have a leak, it will glow bright green.
