Burning Oil smell, no leak under car however.

The 2001 Passat V-6 has 121,000 miles on her. I had the Head gaskets replaced as well as a cracked head cover replaced 4000 miles ago. I have other Issues I'll type in another report. Help me out , please . I'm down on my luck right now.. "Dave"

poss valve cover gasket leak. poss under warranty at the repair shop,have them look at it

My friend Bill and I looked at the Dipstick area where oil seemed to be smoking and then condensing. We pulled the dipsticks "O" ring off and replaced it . I got a pkg of ten various sizes from Advance Auto. This seems to have stopped it.. I'll let you know .. "Gordy"...Oh yeah, A Woman at a VW dealer had mentioned this to me quite sometime ago .. I didn't think it to have any merit.. I hope She was right.We'll see !!! Thanks again, ...................Dave..AKA Gordy !
