On February 21, 2014, Buick recalled 355 Buick LaCrosse. General motors llc (gm) is recalling certain model year 2014 buick regal, lacrosse, verano, and enclave, and chevrolet impala, malibu, cruze, and traverse, and gmc acadia vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. in the affected vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjuster may disengage from the transmission shift lever. as such, these vehicles do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 102, "transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect." they also fail to conform to fmvss number 114, "theft protection and rollaway prevention."

The adjuster that adjusts the position of the shifter cable may fail, preventing operation of the shifter and causing the shift indicator to be inaccurate.

General Motors notified owners of affected vehicles starting in April 2014. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them. The General Motors recall number is 14048.

Corrosion can develop in the driver's door electronic control module and cause the driver's door switches not to work.+

General Motors, Saab, & Isuzu will notify owners of the affected vehicles beginning July 24, 2013. If the power window and/or door switches in the driver's door are not working properly, or if an abnormal odor is noted, please contact your dealer. Additionally, you should also contact your dealer if you don't receive notification within a reasonable time and you feel you should have. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.

On vehicles equipped with eAssist, the engine may not start and/or could stall while driving. Additionally, a burning smell and/or fire could develop in the trunk.

As of this writing, General Motors has not released a notification schedule for this recall. General Motors will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles on April 12, 2013. If you notice any looseness in the steering wheel attachment please stop driving your car and contact your Buick dealer for further instruction. The General Motors recall number is 13098.

The transmission can unexpectedly shift into the "Sport" mode while driving, eliminating the transmission related engine braking.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified beginning March 28, 2013.
