Braking Information

(2000 Mercedes-Benz E430)
in Jacksonville, NC on April 19, 2010
I have a 2000 E430 I get vibrations at high speeds 50-65mph when braking. I now understand that it may be a case of warped rotors. This being a front end car braking car I know I have rotors on the front, but what about the back. I have priced the rotors online for about $60.00 what will I need for the rear, will it need rotors also or just pads. I know I need to get this work done.

I am pretty sure you have rear disc brakes on your 2000 Mercedes-Benz E430. That would mean brake rotors in the front and rear. While it is much more common for the front rotors to cause a vibration issue the rears can cause this problem also. You can change the rotors with out changing the pads but most repair shops will not do this. I would recommend a complete brake inspection including "rotor run-out" in order to find out exactly what you will need to get your brakes working properly.
