(2002 Pontiac Sunfire)
in Anoka, MN on July 13, 2010
How do I remove the Rotor? I have pounded on it with a rubber mallet and it won't bust loose. do I need to remove the large nut (1 1/8") on the axle bolt or is the rotor just rusted on?

use a real hammer and knock it off.

In addition to using a metal hammer you could also use penetrating oil around the studs and hub area. Turn the rotor while hitting it with the hammer. Be sure to wipe the oil off the rotot prior to installing the brake pads.
