Brake light and ABS light remain on at times after the engine has started.

(2001 Chevrolet S10)
in Fresno, CA on September 06, 2010
When the engine starts the brake light and ABS light on the dash panel will go out and then comes back on. This doesn't happen all the time. (I would say about 50% of the time)It seems to me it may be temperature related. Brakes seem to work fine but it is annoying.

When the ABS light stays illuminated on your 2001 Chevrolet S10 fault code(s) are stored in the control module. These code(s) will need to be read (using a scan tool), diagnosed, and repaired in order to keep your ABS light from coming back on.
