Q: Bought 2005 Jeep Grand cherokee and now have only 15000 miles on it. Service on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Lights came on on dash for service 4wheel drive, ABS and traction light. Won't go off. Car runs great. Cannot deactivate traction light with dash switch. Any idea what the problem could be. Code reader shows no codes.

Your code reader may only read engine codes and transmission but not chassis or ABS. Don't be worried that because several warning lights are on that there are several problems. Many sensors are shared between the engine and transmission control, and the traction control and anti lock brake circuit. One sensor failure can cause several systems to fail, or appear to fail. A professional grade scan tool is needed to retrieve these codes in your car
Thank you for your reply on my question. Just received this scanner from my wife for Christmas. Not too familia with it yet. Also the 4wd light flashes on and off, whereas the other lights stay steady on and the traction switch on dash does nothing. Light stays on. Guess I will have to go for a pro scan. Car still runs great even with all the warning lights on. If you have any further ideas, I would appreciate your input. Thank you. Jim
PS: Forgot to mention I am original owner and bought it brand new in 2005. Reason for low mileage is my using my other vehicles that have better gas mileage. (Elantra and PT Cruiser)
