Bolting flywheel to converter

(1999 Ford Escort)
do i need to bolt the converter to the flywheel before i bolt tranny to motor?

Offer up the transmission to the engine with the torque converter engaged into the transmission (or you will damage the transmission and torque converter. When the trans is up close and you have everything lined up turn the ring gear or rotate the crankshaft pulley using a wrench until the torque converter bolts line up with the flex plate enter one, rotate the engine some more enter another and so on.......
