RepairPal Expert Overview on May 18, 2017

The doors of the vehicle which feature Comfort Access and Soft Close Automatic options may fail to latch properly, seeming to be closed when they are still open. This would allow the door to open unexpectedly while driving and could result in occupant ejection or injury.

Recall repairs on your BMW must be performed by a BMW dealership. BMW will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local BMW dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
