The rear reflex reflectors of the vehicle do not reflect enough light, making the vehicle less visible to other vehicle drivers. This increases risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your BMW must be performed by a BMW dealership. BMW will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in July, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local BMW dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

On certain 2013 M series vehicles, the oil pump can fail, causing a loss of oil pressure and in some cases, the engine to stall.

BMW will notify owners of affected vehicles during October of 2012. If you experience abnormal noise from the engine, the low oil pressure warning system is active, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
