Blower going with ignition off

(1999 Ford Expedition)
in Pearland, TX on September 07, 2010
Blower going when it is turned off ? When I turned the key between off & on then the blower would turn off then I turned off all controls on dash then turned the vehicle off but it was still blowing. Would this still be the blower resistor or would it be an ignition problem or both? How much would the ignition repair cost?

I am assuming that you have an Automatic Climate Control System vs a purely manual system. There is a Blower Motor Speed Module that takes instructions on whether to turn the blower on and at what speed. If this malfunctions it could cause your issues. It receives power from a Blower Motor relay which has power at all times, in other words, even with the key out, there is still power. So if either or both of these components malfunction, then you could have your problem.
I suggest that you have a good Diagnostic Electrical person trace these circuits to pinpoint the exact point of the malfunction. Then you can get an exact cost estimate.
