Auto 4wd doesn't work

(1993 Ford Explorer)
in Kingman, AZ on May 03, 2009
Got this car 9 months ago from my elderly Aunt's estate. I think she only used the 4wd once, it worked fine after getting it home but then suddenly quit. The dash light does not come on when the button is pushed, the trany fluid is fine and sois the fuse under the hood

I have seen the 4wd module go out and the switches. You need to have some electrical inspection done on this vehicle's electrical 4wd system to truly isolate the problem.

i've got a 93 model push button 4x4.I had the problem of not engaging.I took the wire connection apart at the motor (beside trans.)and cleaned a little, plugged back together and started working.
