The sound stops after a few minutes, assuming when the car engine is warm.
After about 1/2 hour of highway diving, the car will start downshifting if you slow down and you have to use the paddle shift to get it back into a higher gear. This takes place without placing the shifter into paddle shift mode.
I have a Audi TT S Line 2005. When it warms up the transmission starts failing, it will go like in neutral and than jumps hard in to the gear. it happens between the 1st and the 2nd and 2nd the 3rd gear and also in reverse, and when it downshift it also will jumps hard into the gears. And when it cools up it will drive perfect till it warms up again.

Can somebody please tell me what's wrong with my car?

When my TT has been driven and is hot the transmission shifts roughly. This happens in both regular and sport modes and also when using the manual shifting mode. It only happens between 3nd & 4th gears when up shifting or down shifting. Any ideas
Service at dealer informed me that the "boots" had to be replaced. My car is under extended warranty; however, inspector for warranty company says that "boots" are not covered. We checked warranty and under DRIVE AXLE the constant velocity joints and seals and gaskets are covered. Is this the same thing. Please help so I have a good understanding to go ahead and fight with them on claim
