On a lot of Asian cars charging output from the alternator is required to turn off the brake light and charge light, if the alternator is not charging there will be no output. At the back of the alternator key on engine not running, the big wire should have battery voltage, with plug disconnected from the alternator key on engine not running you should have ignition switch supplied power at the back of the alternator. Check the fuses and fuse links to ensure they are good. Battery voltage across the battery at rest should be 12.6 volts, if the alternator is charging the voltage should be 14.6 volts with the engine running if the alternator is charging.
