Airbag

(2009 Volkswagen Jetta)
i just had the ABS control module software installed due to a recall, now the airbag light is on and it won't go off. The dealership is indicating the airbag has nothing to due with the abs system. I need help!!! the light wasn't on before the system went crazy.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? i'm not sure the airbag light just jumped on
How long have you had this problem? 3wks

Accurate: The air bag system is completely independent of the anti-lock brake system.

So you are saying that everything was perfect, and as soon as the dealership took the vehicle to repair the ABS module recall and you got it back, there was an immediate failure noticed upon retrieving the vehicle?

Coincidences do happen, but if the light was on immediately upon picking up the vehicle, I would appeal to a manager to assist with a little verification of repair work to ensure there is no issue with anything in the nearby related areas of the component repair that was performed.
