Air Filter Replacement

(2008 Mercedes-Benz CLS550)
in Allen, TX on February 27, 2011
Can I replace the engine air filters myself, and how?
Are there cabin air filters also? Can I replace them myself?
Are there other basic maintenance / repairs that the owner with basic tools can preform at home? Is there a supplier of basic parts, materials, fluids at a reasonable price?
Thanks

I suggest to use original parts, they are usually the best quality.
You can do quite few things if you have some basic tools but not everything. I'd find a good MB specialty shop in your area for the more complicated problems.
Definitely get a manual and read and understand it before you start to do anything on it.You can find great repair manuals with step-by-step instructions, diagrams, parts locations and other important information here: http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online
